How Daniel Got Into
Rowan BS/MD Program
Where it started
Daniel came to AcceptU in sophomore year as a strong student at a competitive private high school in the DC area. He was already deeply involved in school life, doing well academically, and had a real interest in medicine. But at that stage, his profile still reflected a general interest rather than a clearly defined path toward becoming a doctor.

How we helped
Over time, Daniel’s interest in medicine became much more clearly defined. Instead of simply saying he wanted to pursue a pre-med path, he began making choices that showed real follow-through.
His coursework stayed rigorous and closely connected to his strengths in science, while his activities, service, and leadership started to reinforce the same direction. Part of that process was helping him think carefully about how each piece of his profile fit together.
His research project added another layer of scientific engagement beyond the classroom, while his continued leadership and service helped show a genuine commitment to helping others. Those experiences made his interest in medicine feel more grounded and more believable over time.
Alongside challenging academics, Daniel also managed the demands of three varsity sports, which added another dimension to his profile and reflected a high level of discipline and maturity.
Throughout the process, AcceptU worked closely with Daniel and his family to help him navigate key decisions, stay on top of BS/MD-specific requirements, and build with intention.
By the end, his profile felt much more focused and cohesive, and he approached the process with greater confidence and clarity.
