What Should My Student Do This Summer

October 28, 2026 | 8:00 pm EST

About this webinar

Summer program? Internship? Research? Job? Volunteering? Independent project? Or simply more time exploring an existing interest? There is no single “best” summer activity for college admissions. AcceptU’s College Counseling and Student Development teams will help families think through the options and determine what makes sense based on a student’s age, interests and goals.
Families will learn:

  • How colleges view different types of summer experiences
  • How to choose among programs, research, internships, jobs and other opportunities
  • What makes an experience meaningful rather than simply impressive on paper
  • How students can deepen an existing interest or explore something new
  • How to create a realistic summer plan for Grades 9–11
