From AcceptU’s founders—why our approach to admissions works

Thank you for your interest in AcceptU!

We met more than 25 years ago in the admissions office at Cornell. What we saw then—and what has become even clearer over the years—is that students succeed when they have structure, insight and steady guidance from people who understand how admissions decisions are made. AcceptU was founded to bring that level of expertise directly to families.

At the center of our work is a team of exceptional counselors — all former admissions officers from Ivy League and other highly selective universities. They bring practical experience shaped by years of evaluating applications, leading committees and understanding what truly differentiates strong applicants. This perspective allows us to offer clear, actionable guidance that helps students present their strongest story.

AcceptU has been virtual by design since the beginning. This model allows us to match students with the right counselor, offer flexible meeting times and deliver consistent, high-quality support. Even in an online format, our work is deeply personal: each counselor works with a small number of students, ensuring meaningful attention and long-term relationships.

Over the past 15 years, thousands of families have partnered with AcceptU. Students have earned admission to top colleges and universities across the country, and more than 90% are admitted to one or more of their top three choices. On average, students working with AcceptU are four times more likely to be admitted compared to applying on their own.

Our approach is intentionally structured and highly personalized. From academic and extracurricular planning to essays, applications and interviews, students receive thoughtful guidance that helps them build authentic, compelling narratives that highlight their strengths and contributions.

Our mission remains simple: to provide expert, ethical and personalized admissions guidance that helps students thrive—through the process and beyond it.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about AcceptU. We look forward to the opportunity to support your family.
